Happy Halloween!!

Get into the spirit of Halloween and wear a costume to the gym!  Feel free to bring treats, and by treats we mean Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins.

Starting in November, we will be adding a 5:30 am Yoga class on Wednesday.  That’s next week so look for it in the schedule!

A Wonderful Yoga Weekend ….

This past weekend I attended a yoga teacher training in Chicago. They had 6 of the top trainers in the US come and teach us different types of yoga, sequencing, movement, Acro, Kirtan, etc …

I went into this not really knowing what to expect but just wanting to learn, grow, get outside my box and see new types of yoga for my practice and for my students.

How to Get Lucky??

Whenever I hear someone say,

“They are so lucky”.
–Or–
“Some people have all the luck”.

I stop and wonder… Are they really lucky? Or does it have to do with more than luck why some people get what they want.

Then I came across a quote from Richard Branson:

Dominate Your Plate: Day 24!

DYPer’s, you are so close to Day 30.  What are your goals after the challenge is over?  I’m curious who is planning to continue with the Whole 30 lifestyle and who is planning to eat every Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup their kid brings home from trick or treating.  It will be Halloween after all.  Regardless, I hope everyone is feeling great and has learned a lot about themselves in the last 24 days.

We Are Our Habits – Part 1

When You Got Out of Bed This Morning

What did you do?  Do you remember?  I put my clothes on that I’d laid out last night, brushed my teeth, and headed to CPM to coach some smiling early AMers.  I do this most mornings.  In fact, I’ve done it enough that I don’t think about it while I’m doing it.

Get Some Yoga In Your Life …

This past weekend we completed our final days of the CPM yoga teacher training. It was so great to watch these women come from being nervous about teaching a pose to teaching a full hour class to students all on their own.

It was great to hear how each one of them wanted to teach or learn more about yoga for many different purposes. Some wanted to teach kids, others wanted to help co-workers, some wanted to learn more about their practice, and some were not sure where they wanted to take it.

How to Increase Confidence?

How would you define ‘Confidence’? What comes to your mind?

If you were to google ‘Confidence’ this is what you would find…

A. The feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.
B. The state of feeling certain about the truth of something.
C. A feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.

I like to define ‘Confidence’ as an internal knowing and the ammunition to conquer the world.

Life is pretty simple. Definitely not easy, but simple. The people with the most confidence will always WIN in life.
