Monday: We will use running and rowing along with a few of our favorite movements (Barbell Lunges, KB Swings, Ring Rows Goblet Squats, Wall Balls and Burpees) in a descending count to get your holiday weekend started off properly.

I was meeting with a client today and she wanted some good suggestions on some healthy bed time snacks that satisfied that sweet tooth craving, but made you sleep well too. This is not the first person to ask me this, so I figured many of my clients and readers had the same question too.

A Fit Chic Cookie Recipe…

 

 

These are so easy, very delicious, and make you feel like you are “treating yourself” all at the same time!

 

Ingredients:

1 apple ( I like gala)

2 tablespoons almond butter

Pecans

unsweetened coconut flakes

dark cacao Chocolate chips

1/4 cup of raisins

dash of cinnamon

 

Directions:

Slice apple into thin rings and remove core.

Spread almond butter over one side of rings

Top with raisins, coconut, pecans, and chocolate chips.

Enjoy!

Monday: Great 3 way triad of Running, Double Under’s and Squat Clean + Jerks. We will have a build up/skill work to improve and find the weight for the Squat Cleans.

Tuesday: Kicking off Tuesday with Back Squats as our strength component. Then we have an FGB style workout (3 rounds; (5) 1 minute stations) of KB Swings, Up and Overs, DB Push Press, Row (for Cals), Slam Balls.

Are You Stuck?

I saw something absurd the other day. A highly engineered and specially designed race car stuck in a 35mph downtown street… This is not what the car was made for. And this is not what its creator, Enzo Ferrari, envisioned for it. This is a 6 speed, F-140, aluminum V-12, 4700 CC engine, with a 660 HP, that was built to go 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds and race at 217mph… And those are just the 2010 specs:)
