5 Workout Mistakes That Could Affect You Long-Term …

We all have habits in our workout routine some good some bad. There are a few simple tweaks that we could make to make a world of difference to our overall results…

Here are a some helpful tips that will make you the most successful you can be!

Mistake #1; Picking and Choosing Workouts:
Sometimes in life we have to suck it up and do the things in life we DON”T want to do ..but the great thing in life is those workouts are far more rewarding then the ones we know we are really good at. My rule of thumb is, if my brain says “I don’t want to do this” I make sure I find a way to workout. It is fun to be balanced too, and the way you find balance is doing it all! How are you supposed to get better at barbell movements if you avoid workouts with barbells? The way to improve is by practice so I challenge you to sign into the class that you REALLY don’t want to do and see how great you feel after!

Mistake #2; Not Being Consistent:
Consistency is key to success on any training program I know we can all get discouraged or want to throw in the towel … but the more we preserve through the hurt, the discomfort, and the mental breakdowns the more we can gain confidence, see results, and get the good endorphin high! You start to push yourself past limits you didn’t know you could, accomplishing goals you set, and feeling tremendous on the inside and out!

Mistake #3; Not Writing Stuff Down:
How are you supposed to see how much you have improved if you have nothing to compare it too? When you don’t know where you are how are you going to know where you are going. The more your right down the more serious you will take your fitness and your overall health in general. It will also keep you motivated as you will start to see your growth (i.e. heavier lifts, less bands, pushups off knees,etc ..) I am still seeing results and I would never have known that unless I had written it down. I have journaled my workouts for years and it is really fun to see how much I have grown and how far I have come!

Mistake #4; Avoiding Stretching, Yoga, and Mobility:

We already are so hard on our bodies from just normal day to day habits (i.e sitting in chairs, sleeping, etc ..) so continuing to pound our bodies and not take care of them is a recipe for injury. Chris is very diligent about stretching, mobility, yoga and taking care of his body ..and he is rarely injured, looks great, can move so efficiently and feels amazing in the process. It doesn’t take much time to get so many wonderful benefits. If you don’t know what to do ask your coaches and we will be more than happy to help you out.
