Here are the top 5 items to order when having to go through the infamous Drive in or Run in to a fast food restaurant!
#1 McDonalds: Those Bright Yellow Arches are everywhere .. so have no fear order these three things when you are in a bind, on the road, or starving! The “Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with Grilled Chicken is a great option. The only things you need to ask for is no cheese, balsamic vinegar dressing instead of Ranch. You can also have a burger or chicken sandwich with mustard tomato, pickles, wrapped in lettuce.
# 2 Subway: There are 37,000 Subway locations so most likely it will be available in a city you are in. You can order a spinach or regular salad with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, and oil and vinegar dressing. You can also order an egg white breakfast sandwich as a lettuce wrap if you need a breakfast treat.
# 3 Chiptole or Qdoba: This is an option I tell my clients about the most frequently. It serves a variety of meat, good whole sauces, and a variety of vegetables. I like to order a naked burrito bowl with lettuce, (no beans no rice), your choice of meat, or all veggies, guacamole, and avocado salsa or salsa verde.
#4 The Local Grocery Store – When all else fails find your local grocery store and grab a rotisserie chicken, apples, raw cashews, and raw veggies (like carrots, celery, cauliflower etc). This is an easy way to stay right on track with your goals. If you want a treat grab a Larabar or RX Bar for added deliciousness.
# 5 Panera Bread … Did you know that they have a “Secret Menu” .. Not only is it delicious they have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner .. So you can meet friends, clients, family etc .. anytime of the day and you can order something other than my personal favorite .. An Americano with cinnamon!
