Growing up I wasn’t much of a workout or sports participant. During college I knew I needed to be more active although I didn’t know where to start. I started out by joining a typical standard gym with no knowledge of how to use the machines and I would also avoid classes because I didn’t know anyone. The next step towards my fitness journey was joining Farrell’s for two years. At first it was a great workout. It was structured and I always knew what workout I would be doing each day of the week. But after two years that became a little bit repetitive and I found myself getting bored and skipping classes. That definitely has not happened at CPM.
I attended my first class at CPM in May of 2014. I am not going to lie; I was scared and had never had a workout like that before in my entire life. I am glad Chris was so persistent on texting, calling and emailing me to come back to try another class. I finally gave in and became an official member July 2014.
Since joining the gym I have learned a lot about Olympic lifting, cardio workouts and yoga. In the spring of 2016 I started the Coaches Development Academy while also successfully completing the Whole 30 challenge. In the beginning of 2017 completed my journey of the CPM Yoga Teacher Training. I really enjoy the relationships I have developed while being a member and a couch. CPM is a not just a gym, it’s a family. I have grown in my personal life, my fitness journey and I love being able to help others with theirs.
Outside of coaching and my career in the banking industry, I enjoy traveling, volunteering in our community, attending concerts and cooking & baking.
