Sometimes we struggle figuring out what our purpose is in life. I believe everyone has been blessed with gifts and talents from God to fulfill that purpose. Figuring this out is not always that easy but what I have discovered is that if you are passionate about something, that is usually a good indication your God-given gifts align with that passion. My entire life I have been passionate about exercise and fitness. But I never associated that with being the purpose for my life….until I realized one of the other gifts I’ve been blessed with is having compassion for people. PASSION FOR FITNESS + COMPASSION FOR PEOPLE = PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE! Being a Coach for Life at CPM Fitness with the sole purpose of helping people reach goals they have struggled reaching their entire lives is the reason I love getting out of bed every day!
I am a people person through and through and love being around and helping people.
I have compassion when it comes to helping people, both in fitness and other areas of their life. I love encouraging people when they don’t believe in themselves or don’t ever think their life can be any different than it is today. And I LOVE to challenge people to do better than they think they physically (or mentally) can.
I am very excited to be a Coach For Life at CPM Fitness so I can help make a difference in members’ lives and to help make them feel like they are a part of a family too. One of the biggest things people struggle with is weight. Finding a workout routine and eating plan they can incorporate into a lifestyle change is the ultimate goal, but many fail because they try to do it alone or don’t have accountability. When someone believes in you and encourages you along the way, but at the same time holds you accountable, that is when you start feeling good about what you are doing and continue pushing through. When I joined CPM Fitness, I was searching for a new and different challenge that I looked forward to every day…and I found it. I want to be able to help those people who struggle and also those who want to be challenged in a different way.
I was a high school athlete (volleyball, basketball and track) and played college basketball for one year. I have been a member at many gyms, have competed in several sprint triathlons in the area and loved the challenge and the feeling of accomplishment when I finished. I have always had a competitive nature and want diversity in my workouts which is why I love CPM Fitness so much. I have had taught several classes over the years including: bootcamp, circuit class, spinning and kettlebell. I have always loved health and fitness and it is a very important part of my life. I want to help it be important to others as well.
I am 45 years old and feel the best I have ever felt. My goal is to be an example to help people realize that age does not matter and anything is possible, even if it does not seem attainable…it starts with a choice and believing in yourself.
One definition of passion I found was this: to be passionate about something is when you put more energy into something than is required to do it. It is more than just enthusiasm or excitement, passion is ambition that is materialized into action to put as much heart, mind, body and soul into something as is possible.
