Choose Your Words… Wisely
We all have next year on our minds. Resolutions and goals are the talk of most conversations you are apart of until the end of 2015.
I personally love this time of year. I always relish the idea of reinvented or re-fining who I am and where I want to go. One of my area’s of focus starting and continuing on into 2016 is too, Be Positive, All the Time! Only good things happen to those who are constantly positive. Sure you will have setbacks and things won’t go your way, but with an A+ Attitude things can only turn around sooner and last longer.
I challenge you to watch your words. Words are the gateway to our thoughts. And our thoughts are the compass to our future. Here are some of the most often words I will hear that will not serve you in your future goals…
1. “I can’t”
Whether you think you can or you can’t you are absolutely right! ~ Henry Ford. Also, think about this, someone who is less intelligent than you has figured it out.

3. “You know what I mean?” and “Does that make sense?”
Asking for constant validation chips away at your command.
4. “You always…”
Sweeping generalizations lack insight and get in the way of healthy dialogue. Be specific and avoid using vague blame tactics.
5. “I was like…” or “She was like…”
The word “like” is an unsophisticated setup that gets in the way of your clarity and credibility.
Think of the words you speaks like repetitions in a workout. One rep here and one rep there doesn’t make any change. But overtime you are an accumulation of ALL the reps you have done over your lifetime. They will add up! Now is the best time to make a change.
