Friday Night Lights – Why You Should Do It!
Have you heard about the upcoming Friday Night Lights workouts at CPM? What are they and why are we doing them? Here’s what you need to know.
There’s a good chance you’ve caught a few minutes of the Crossfit Games at some point in your life. Some of you have religiously watched it. I’m guilty of that 🙂 The games start with the open. The open gives us Average Joe’s the opportunity to participate in the initial open workouts and to try to make it to the games. Is it possible to make it to the Crossfit Games? Let’s just say it’s not impossible but it’s tough! However, that doesn’t mean we can’t do the workouts and have a great time.
The open consists of 5 workouts. They are called 17.1, 17.2… you get the idea. The workout for the week will be released on a Thursday evening and you are given 4 days to complete the it. We, at CPM, will be coming together as a community on Friday nights at 5:30 pm (Western Mall location) to do the workouts. Every workout will have scales just like our CPM workouts and, don’t worry, you won’t be on display. Just like in a class, several members will do the workout at the same time.
Look for our Facebook Page, CPM Sport, and request to join it. On this page, we will post the workouts, movement tips and tricks and any other info you need to get in.
