Game is over but keep PLAYING
As the Whole Life Challenge comes to an end you may be planning out the list of forbidden foods you can’t wait to inhale 🍕🍦🍺. For me it’s a piece of red velvet cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory 😋. Or maybe you will push that snooze 😴 button and skip your morning workout or ditch that water bottle you have been blaming for your late night bathroom 🚽breaks.
If this is your first lifestyle challenge, it’s a great start of gaining control and awareness of what a “healthy lifestyle’” can really look and “feel” like. For those that have been doing this for awhile, it was a chance to reset.
So now that our time is up, how does one stay healthy without points or structure?
We get to set our own rules!!!
The WLC provided us with the tools on how to implement small changes to our everyday life. These small changes lead to habits…habits that change lives. It’s now up to us to decide what to eat, how much to exercise, how to stay hydrated and how much to sleep.
Pick a key habit that if done everyday would set the tone and everything else would fall into place. For me that habit would be sleep. When I get a good night’s rest I found my workouts benefited, I drank more water, I ate better and I was happier.😊
I hope that throughout this challenge you have all experienced some “aha” moments. I challenge you to remember those moments and build off them. Continue to try new things and don’t be afraid of making mistakes.
Be patient, consistent and remember progression not perfection.
