The “P” in CPM! And How to Get There…

In the Health and FITness World we WANT Results and we WANT Results NOW!

To garner the Results we desire we must perform to accomplish them!

Definition of Performance:

The action or process of carrying out or accomplishing an action, task, or function.

Eat Clean, Move More (and Better), Increase Mobility, High Quality of Sleep, Recover, Hydrate. All simple actions/tasks/functions that are fundamental laws of Health.

So why aren’t we there yet??

Well… Here is your Formula for Performance:

Performance = Potential – Interference

The “P” in CPMFITness is potential. Here is a fact (believe it or not)… Your Potential is LIMITLESS! What you can actually achieve with your inborn capabilities would shock and amaze you!

Whether how successful (or unsuccessful) you feel, you are waaay underachieving what you could be.

Our current “P” for performance is not living up to your other “P” for potential.

What is holding us back?

It is the “I” for interference. There are 2 parts to our Interference.

A. Mental (self doubt, fear, lack of confidence, self loathing, self image): So much of how we look, feel and perform is all about what goes on from the neck up. So why are we so focused on everything from the neck down?!?

B. Physical (distraction, associations, media): A lot of things in our lives we feel we can not control are totally within our control. The more you want and need to change the more of a challenge it will be to change our physical interferences. But I will tell you what… The benefits far outweigh the consequences for change.

Your Action Item List… 

1. Realize that you are awesome. You are limitless!
If you don’t believe it that’s your first problem. And even if you don’t today, have faith and trust that you are. Do this by depositing healthy thoughts in your mind (affirmations, positive people, read books, watch motivational video’s)

2. Your Performance is a disappointment. 
Look at this as a positive thing! Problems and challenges will never go away. There are here for the long haul. Use these setbacks, mistakes, roadblocks, disappointments as an opportunity in disguise. Problems are a good thing. No problems equals; no growth, no learning, no nothing!

3. Get Aggressive!
Highest energy always WINS! Roll up your sleeves and challenge the change you desire.

4. Direct that maddness to fixing your interferences.
I view failures and setbacks as logs for more fire of motivation and change!
