Sleigh the Rower Day 15!

We are really impressed with the dedication and hard work we are seeing from the rowing challenge participants. Hopefully you feel more comfortable rowing already.  Have you ever noticed how someone next to you is rowing at a faster rate but they look like they are rowing slower? This is a great rowing video with some tips and tricks that talks about the cadence of your rowing stroke. Faster strokes don’t always equal a faster pace in rowing. Click HERE to watch.

Here is your weekly meter goal as of Friday, December 12th.

50,000 meters – You should have 26,790 meters so far.
100,000 meters – You should have 53,565 meters so far.
200,000 meters – You should have 107,145 meters so far.
If you are Annie or Nicole – You should have 2,434,100 meters so far :-)

On Saturday, December 20th, we will be having a special Christmas workout at 8:30 am and 9:30 am. Members are asked to bring a $10 donation (cash or check) for the Make A Wish Foundation. Classes are donation based so you will not be charged a class from your membership. All proceeds go to charity. Look for a special Saturday blog and an email coming soon!

My personal thoughts on another fantastic week at CPMFitness.

1. Never have I worked at a place where treats are not consumed on the first day they arrive.  Marin brought Chris puppy chow on Monday.  It’s still in the fridge!

What’s wrong with these people?!! I am creating the 1 day rule.  If it isn’t gone within 1 day, it’s mine :-)

2. Several of you appear to be WAY ahead on the rowing challenge.  I am WAY behind. In order to catch up, I am willing to trade treats for meters.  Give me some of your meters and I will bring you treats (monster cookies, scotcharoos, puppy chow). You can email me or talk to me at class.

3. This is the only way Chris will eat puppy chow.

4. I have to admit, I thought 100 kb swings at the end of Thursday’s workout would be easy especially since I grabbed a lighter kettlebell than I normally swing. I was WRONG! However, I looked over and Chris was swinging the 97 lb kettlebell. Yeah, he did 100 swings with it after that workout.  Whoa! My buddy, Luke, also did 50 unbroken wallballs with the 20 pounder. Nice job Luke!
