The Case for Exercising as Your TOP Priority!

The Case for Exercising as Your TOP Priority!

If I were to ask you your TOP priorities in life, what would you say?

Here are mine to get the ball rolling…

A. Faith
B. Family + Friends
C. Health
D. Wealth (Business/Career)
E. Play (Travel, Leisure, Recreation)

*To note those are my most important (A) to least important (E)*

Which one of these do you think you get the ‘most bang for your buck’?

As I continue to study success I am constantly learning and appreciating more and more the value of time. You see time is very similar to money in which you can do one of three things…

Use it
Gain it
Lose it

We get to choose how we use it. Believe it or not they all require the same amount of energy. But everyday that passes we don’t get back. The past is in the past. We only get today and hopefully many more tomorrows.

If that’s the case, I want to gain some time, not lose it and use it wisely… Don’t you?!?

Back to my initial question. What will give you, “The most bang for your buck?”  Or in other words, the most Rate of Return (ROI)

Let me give you a hint – 50 REASONS TO EXERCISE

A popular blog post, WHY EXERCISING IS A HIGHER PRIORITY THAN MY BUSINESS, has been floating around my Facebook News Feed from Entrepreneur.com about this very topic. My favorite part, of the article…

“For example, when I exercise, that makes me better in every role I have, whether it’s as a husband, father, friend or entrepreneur. If I were to stop exercising because I felt that being a good business owner was a higher priority, then ironically I would end up a worse business owner than I was when it was a lower priority. Putting exercise first creates a win-win.”

Wow! Powerful words. And you can translate “business owner” to parent, friend, co-worker, etc…

You live inside your body everyday. It is the one thing you can control. You can be as healthy, Fit and strong as you choose to be. The more you take care of your health the more you can excel and experience out of life.

If you feel you lack the time or the money to exercise and eat better. I encourage you to take a hard look at how you are ‘spending’ your time and how it is paying you back. Because I would argue to you, that improving your health will pay you back more than any other priority you have.
