DYP: Nutrition Challenge Update

Day 17.  You are over halfway through the challenge!  Does it feel more like day 100 to you or has this nutrition challenge been a breeze?  Personally, when participating in a challenge like this, I constantly focus on what I can’t have.  It would be so much easier if we would focus on what we CAN have instead.  It’s all downhill from here friends, so stay strong!

Don’t miss the DYP meeting this Monday, October 20th!

Meeting 2 was great and everyone really knows their stuff when it comes to hormones, brains, guts and inflammation.  Meeting 3 is looking to be just as good.  We are going to talk about the unhealthy foods and why they make us unhealthy when we eat them.  Read up on Part 3, chapters 8 – 12 in It Starts With Food.

The meeting starts at 7:45.  Be there and be ready to answer questions on the not-so-healthy foods we have all eaten a time or two (ok, maybe more).

CPM Sleigh the Rower 2.0

Let’s talk about the CPM Rowing Challenge.  I signed up for this challenge last year after being at CPM for only two months.  The number of meters I needed to row seemed ridiculous but guess what…. it wasn’t!  Instead, I discovered that I really enjoy rowing and my form improved greatly in just one month.  The challenge starts November 28th and ends December 24th. My personal thoughts on another fantastic week at CPMFitness.

  1. 3 minutes seems like plenty of time to get 50 reps in… until you have to run 400 meters.
  2. Overhead Squats are tough.  Enough said.
  3. I will be first in line to buy 8 minutes to Sexy Abs with Stetson Ramey when it comes out on DVD next month.
  4. There are more than 50 ways to scale a pistol.
