The Secret Sauce

Many of us go through our lives, envious of other people’s success at some point. Not knowing all the failures or hard work they put in to get there we just see the end result. Is it luck🍀, destiny or inherited wealth? Maybe…but I believe success is not limited. We can all find success but we need to be disciplined.

My top 3 daily habits that have put me on the road to success include:

1. Planning my day the night before

Each night I spend 10-minutes or so to jot down my to-do list for the next day. My dad taught me the 6 P’s early in life: Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.😁

2. Exercise

I make exercise a priority daily whether it’s a strength training session, CPMFit class or a nightly walk. Movement is key to help clear my mind and prepare me for the daily challenges of life. A strong 💪🏽body holds up 🔼 a strong mind.

3. Learning to say “No”

When we say yes to everything, we are saying no to ourselves. Not setting boundaries with people can lead to stress, feeling overwhelmed and burned out. By learning to say no, means I remain in the driver’s seat 💺 of my own life.

One More! 

I was going to stop at 3 but there is one more that is worth mentioning as it has changed my life and that is changing my mindset. I am not the same person I was 2 or 3 years ago. I am more driven, confident and focused on fulfilling my purpose in life. Adopting beliefs that are supportive and positive. If you believe you are successful you will act in that way. If you believe you want to be successful, you will act this way too. Keywords ARE and WANT.
