Shelly is the queen of no excuses and constant consistency. With a full time career, being wife, mother of 3, Godmother of 4;-) She has battled through injuries and no matter what is committed to her health eating and FIT lifestyle.

Not only that she has a passion for helping others and finding out where each individual is at to get the most out of them. I personally couldn’t be happier that Shelly is apart of our team. Enjoy our conversation.

Introduce yourself and how long you have been with us?

I am married to my husband Scott, together we have 3 beautiful girls. I work full time as a cardiac sonographer. I have been a member at CPM since August 2013.

What is your favorite part about coaching with us?

I love the community (family) at CPM, after working in healthcare for so many years, it’s nice to walk into an environment where people are there because they want to actively improve themselves.

What is the biggest benefit you get from CPM outside of the gym?

Biggest benefit I get from my workouts is my mood/attitude…..I am a better wife and mom when I get to workout (seriously, ask my family!) 😊

What is one unexpected thing about the gym that you really enjoy?

Prior to joining the gym I would workout, get bored, stop then start something new. CPM and the varied workouts made me realize that I love to workout. Something that I never imagined that I would say about exercise!

How would you describe your coaching style? What is your superpower as a Coach?

I think my coaching style is kind of balanced with a little mothering thrown in from time to time.

What is your favorite thing you do with your fitness outside of the gym?

Spending time with family, kayaking, going for walks and yard work/gardening.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about starting up?

Obviously I would tell them not to wait and JOIN. Then I would suggest they make a list of pros and cons of joining and what they want for themselves. Pen to paper sometimes helps people realize what they need to do. THEN I would give the Chris’ Phone number!

What advice would you give to a new member (maybe something you wish you were told when you were starting out)? 

Not to be intimidated by the classes, movements can be modified and not to compare yourself to others.
