Last Week I talked about “Why” our body craves crap, This week I will show you how do avoid eating the crap!

#1 Drink H20

The thirst mechanism for our brain is rather weak, so it is easy for us to confuse thirst for hunger. In other words, sometimes when you think you’re hungry, you may actually be thirsty! Quenching that thirst can help keep hunger in check!

#2 Snacking

Do you feel ‘snacky’ at night while you sit down and catch up on your favorite shows? Do you give in to cravings when you are stressed out?
If possible, try and fill your “plate” (see what we did there?) with alternative activities to help you avoid putting yourself in situations where you’ll snack uncontrollably. Also, get rid of these snacks that cause these cravings so you won’t feel tempted anymore!

Eat foods like:
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Celery
Asparagus
Zucchini
Green Beans

#3 Add in more Protein:

Protein is an important nutrient that is not only involved in helping with muscle repair and several other processes in the body, but it also helps control hunger.

That’s right, research shows a diet higher in protein can help with appetite control and weight loss.

#4 Eat Healthy Fats:

Good Fat does not make us fat it actually does the opposite. It keeps us satisfied and full longer so you don’t snack on the unnecessary crap or bad food.

#5 Slow Down While Eating:

Slow down and enjoy your meal, savoring every last bite. So your body can let you know when you have had enough.

Monday’s Workout is…

A. Front Squat 5-5-5-5-5

B. 3 rounds for time of:
400m Run
20 Front Squats
5 Muscle-Ups
